The questions we are really asked
Short answers, no jargon. Each product page keeps its own FAQ; this one brings everything together in one place.
Standard vocal IA
Telephone reception 24 hours a day, reservations, transfer to the pharmacist.
What is the Nexum voice assistant for?
It answers your pharmacy's incoming calls automatically, 24 hours a day. It identifies the reason for the call — prescription, product availability, delivery, opening hours — and directs the patient to the right action: transfer to the team, sending a link, a transcribed voice message or a reservation. Anything that requires a pharmacist is passed on: the switchboard handles the request, never the decision.
Does it replace the pharmacy team?
No, it supports it. It takes the repetitive calls — “do you have this product?”, “what time do you open?” — and transfers to the team anything that requires a pharmacist, on a key press or as soon as a human answer is needed. No medical advice, ever: no dose, no interaction, no symptom. Any health question is passed on to the pharmacy.
How is it installed, and how long does it take?
Remotely, with no technician on site and no change of carrier: the pharmacy forwards its line to the number Nexum assigns it, then sets up its greeting, its options and its opening hours from the configuration assistant. The pharmacy's number stays its own, and for patients nothing changes. If the line does not allow forwarding, Nexum ships an already configured Nexum box: about ten minutes to plug in. The price list states a go-live within 48 hours.
Is it compatible with the pharmacy's management software and current tools?
The switchboard reads stock through Connexion de stock, a single connector to pharmacy management software. Six are ● connected: LGPI, Pharmaland, Winpharma, SmartRx, Cristal and LEO. Real-time stock reading exists on LGPI and Pharmaland; the others are synchronised periodically. On the telephone side, it works by call forwarding with the current operator; if the line does not allow it, the Nexum box takes over.
Nexum Pro
The pharmacy's dashboard: orders, calls, conversations, stock.
What is the Nexum Pro dashboard for?
It centralises all the pharmacy's Nexum tools — delivery, switchboard, conversations, WhatsApp, stock — in a single interface. The pharmacy follows its orders, calls and performance without switching screens: the team works on one screen, not seven.
Which data can the pharmacy track?
Revenue, successful and complete orders and the average basket, compared with the previous period; the day's activity hour by hour, against the same day the week before; calls received, those handled through to the end and the options patients choose most; and, product by product, the price, the stock, the orders and the revenue over the chosen period. The pharmacy's invoices and payment account are in the same place, and can be exported.
Is it hard to use?
The team works on a single screen, a single account, identical on web and on mobile. Go-live is a guided journey: each screen explains what it expects and why, the pharmacy moves at its own pace, stops and resumes where it left off, and what is optional can wait — nothing is blocking. Tutorials are built into the dashboard, and the Nexum team supports the go-live. Team training and priority support are included in the Intégrale plan.
Can the whole team be managed from it?
Yes. The pharmacy owner adds each member by e-mail address; that person receives an activation code. There are two roles: user, for work at the counter, and administrator, who manages users and has access to all the settings. Switchboard messages can be assigned to a member, and the audit log keeps a record of who changed what. A single login is enough, for one pharmacy as for several.
Delivery
Who delivers, what, and what happens to the prescription.
Who delivers the orders?
Uber Eats and Uber, partners for more than three years — one more channel, never a substitute. Availability is checked before the order, on the pharmacy's real stock, and dispensing remains in the hands of the pharmacy owner.
Which products can be delivered?
The pharmacy owner decides: parapharmacy, over-the-counter medicines, prescription medicines. From Nexum Pro, they create a delivery for whatever they want, in both directions — sending a parcel to a patient or to a fellow pharmacist, or having a supplier, a fellow pharmacist or a laboratory deliver to them. On the partner platforms the scope is narrower: parapharmacy and over-the-counter medicines only, within the limits set by the pharmacy, and never a prescription medicine.
What happens to the customer's prescription?
It is submitted as a photo, a scan or a file, and kept in a secure space hosted in France on HDS servers, in separate storage where every access is logged. An order that includes a prescription is flagged in the queue and waits for the pharmacist's acceptance before any preparation; the document can be viewed from the order. No automatic dispensing.
Customers ask us
The questions customers ask about the app, and what the pharmacy can tell them.
Which products can a customer order in the app?
All parapharmacy — cosmetics, food supplements, hygiene — as well as over-the-counter medicines. For prescribed medicines, the customer submits the prescription in the app; dispensing remains the pharmacy's decision.
How long does delivery take?
It depends on the opening hours and on the service each pharmacy offers: delivery in under 30 minutes, delivery on a chosen date, or collection at the counter. Delivery times are shown on the pharmacy's page; the patient sees what is possible at your pharmacy before ordering.
How does a customer submit a prescription?
From your pharmacy's page on nexumpharma.fr or in the app, as a photo, a scan or a file, in a secure space. The order that depends on it only goes ahead after your check and your approval: no automatic dispensing. The patient follows the progress — “awaiting prescription”, then “ready · collection”.
Can the customer contact the pharmacy with a question?
Yes. They can call the pharmacy in one tap — the number is shown with the switchboard menu, so they know which key to press before even calling —, leave a twenty-second voice message transcribed for the team, or ask to be called back, stating the reason and the time slot: the request arrives in Nexum Pro and you call back when you can. Direct written messaging with the team is ◐ coming.
How does payment work?
For a reservation, the patient pays the reservation fee online; the product is paid for at the pharmacy, at the counter, on collection. No payment over the phone for a prescription. The product is set aside in their name, and they receive a confirmation SMS. Delivery is paid for separately: either the pharmacy covers it by SEPA mandate and it is invoiced at the end of the week, or a payment link is sent to the patient before the run.
What happens if a product is unavailable?
The switchboard reads the real stock before answering: it asks for the dosage and the form, as a pharmacy technician would, then checks. When an item is out of stock, it offers an equivalent that is in stock rather than assuming availability. At the counter, the missing box can be sent from the neighbouring pharmacy by the same courier, with tracking. Ordering from a fellow pharmacist through a network catalogue is ◔ being rolled out with a first pharmacy group.
Security and data
HDS hosting, encryption, the pharmacy owner's responsibility.
Where are customers' prescriptions hosted?
In a secure space hosted in France on HDS servers, in separate storage where every access is traced. Uploaded prescriptions and documents pass through no third-party service; the voice content of calls, however, is processed by our speech recognition and synthesis providers, listed on the Sub-processors page.
Who decides on dispensing?
The pharmacist, always. Nothing is dispensed without their approval: an order with a prescription waits for their acceptance before any preparation, and no dispensing is automatic. The assistant gives no medical advice — no dose, no interaction, no symptom — and passes any health question on to the team. What is automated is the data entry, never the decision.
Are calls recorded, and for how long?
Recording is the pharmacy's choice, switched off until it enables it. When it is active, an information message is played at the start of every call, and recordings are kept for 90 days. Transcripts and recordings are visible only to the team, in Nexum Pro. Voice content is processed by our speech recognition and speech synthesis providers, listed on the Subprocessors page.
Pricing and commitment
What is included, what is not, and how to stop.
Is there a commitment?
No: prices excl. VAT, no commitment, with a free one-week trial on every plan. €49 installation on Essentiel, included on Premium and Intégrale. From three pharmacies, the Groupement plan is set by quotation. One contract, one invoice, one point of contact.
What are the 3-in-1 QR code and the Nexum box?
The QR code 3 en 1 is a single code at the counter for three patient actions: sending a document to the secure Nexum Pharma space, booking an appointment, leaving a Google review. It costs €29 per month, included from Premium. The Nexum box is for pharmacies whose line cannot receive transferred calls: shipped pre-configured, you plug your current phones into it, and it carries your return line with unlimited calls to landlines and mobiles in France. €49 once on Essentiel, included from Premium.
How does go-live work?
Remotely, within 48 hours, with no change of carrier, no technician on site and no local server. The pharmacy chooses its plan, sends the pharmacy's information, and the Nexum team opens the account; what remains is to set up the call forward, the greeting messages and the scenarios. The rest is completed from the Nexum Pro home screen: pharmacy information, team, opening hours, payment account, stock connection. The fully self-service journey is ◔ being rolled out; today, the Nexum team supports every go-live.
