Operations manager, Spain / Portugal — market opening
Lead the operational opening of Spain and Portugal for the Nexum ecosystem, working with the French team, at a moment when the company is stepping out of its home market.
The role
Nexum is today in France, with over 400 pharmacies equipped, and is preparing to open Spain, Portugal, Italy and Switzerland. The role is to lead the concrete operational opening of Spain and Portugal: the first pharmacies, the first field feedback, the first adjustments.
You work directly with the French team to adapt what needs adapting and to report local, regulatory or usage specifics that the France-based team cannot see on its own.
What you will do
- Lead the rollout of the first Spanish and Portuguese pharmacies on Nexum's products.
- Identify and report local specifics (regulatory, management software, usage) to the French team.
- Build the local relationships needed for a serious, lasting market opening.
- Guarantee the success of deployed pharmacies: real usage, resolving blockers, lasting satisfaction.
- Lay the groundwork for a local operational organisation as the number of pharmacies grows.
What we are looking for
- Confirmed experience opening or running operations on the Spanish or Portuguese market.
- Knowledge of the health or pharmacy sector in these markets, or a real capacity to immerse yourself in it quickly.
- Autonomy to structure an activity in a new market, with remote support rather than direct supervision.
- Spanish and Portuguese for the field; English for exchanges with the international team.
- Enough seniority to represent Nexum credibly to local pharmacies.
What we offer
- Madrid or Lisbon, with remote possible; the team is already international.
- A founding role in opening two markets, with real latitude to build.
- A product that has already proven itself in France, winner of the PharmagoraPlus 2026 Innovation Award, not a concept to validate.
- Direct access to the French technical and operations team to adapt the product without starting from zero.
The process, in four steps
- A conversation about your background and your knowledge of the Spanish and Portuguese markets.
- A case study on a real market-opening scenario.
- An interview with the CTO and the French operations team.
- A meeting with the team.
Decision within 48 hours after the last step.
