Senior backend engineer — pharmacy management software connectors
Build and maintain the connectors that link the connected catalogue and the Nexum ecosystem to the pharmacy management software used by pharmacies, in France and then across the European markets Nexum is opening.
The role
The connected catalogue links pharmacy stock in real time to the management software pharmacies already use. Each piece of software has its own constraints, its own format, its own reliability. The role is to design and maintain these connectors, in France as in the European markets Nexum is opening.
Backend architecture is the main criterion: robustness against imperfect third-party systems, data consistency, the ability to absorb new software without rewriting everything.
What you will do
- Design and write the connectors between the connected catalogue and pharmacy management software.
- Guarantee the reliability of stock synchronisations, including against unstable or poorly documented third-party systems.
- Evolve the architecture to welcome new markets and new management software.
- Test what you ship: the whole pyramid, from unit tests to end-to-end journeys. There is no separate QA.
- Work with the operations team and pharmacists to diagnose edge cases reported from the field.
What we are looking for
- Solid experience of backend architecture in production, particularly on integrations with third-party systems.
- Fluent TypeScript; Go or Rust is a plus, not a condition.
- A taste for robustness against the unexpected: a connector must hold even when the system on the other end does not cooperate.
- English for technical exchanges; French is a plus.
- The wish to understand the pharmacy business, to design connectors that hold up at the counter.
- The connectors handle health data under HDS constraints: security is part of the role, not a separate team's job.
What we offer
- Fully remote, from any country; the team is already international.
- An end-to-end TypeScript stack, servers run by a dedicated team.
- A company setting out to work on European markets, with an ecosystem that already exists and over 400 pharmacies equipped.
- An award-winning product: PharmagoraPlus 2026 Innovation Award.
The process, in four steps
- A conversation with the CTO.
- An architecture interview on third-party integrations.
- A live working session.
- A meeting with the team.
No quiz, no code link to provide: we prefer to see you work. Decision within 48 hours after the last step.
