Data scientist — pharmacy stock and demand forecasting

Build the forecasting models that help pharmacies manage their stock better, based on connection data from management software and real activity on Nexum's connected catalogue.

The role

The connected catalogue links pharmacy stock to management software in real time. This data opens the way to demand and stock forecasting models, concretely useful at the counter: anticipating a stock-out, adjusting an order, spotting a trend.

The role is to build these models from real pharmacy data, working with the technical team that runs the connected catalogue and the operations team that knows the field.

What you will do

  • Build demand and stock forecasting models from connected-catalogue data.
  • Explore pharmacy activity data to identify useful, actionable signals.
  • Work with the technical team to move a model from experimentation to production.
  • Measure the real quality of forecasts against observed activity, and iterate accordingly.
  • Talk with pharmacists and the operations team to understand real stock usage in pharmacies.

What we are looking for

  • Solid experience in predictive modelling, ideally on time series or demand data.
  • Fluency in a data science language (Python most often) and comfort with real production databases.
  • A taste for testing a model against field reality rather than an isolated dataset.
  • English for technical exchanges; French is a plus.
  • Autonomy to carry a topic from raw data to a model that is useful in production.
  • The models rely on health data and real pharmacy usage data, hosted under HDS: protecting it is part of the work, not a box ticked afterwards.

What we offer

  • Fully remote, from any country; the team is already international.
  • Access to real data from over 400 connected pharmacies, not a synthetic dataset.
  • An end-to-end technical stack, TypeScript on the product side, run by a team that codes.
  • An award-winning product, PharmagoraPlus 2026 Innovation Award, and a company opening new European markets.

The process, in four steps

  1. A conversation with the CTO.
  2. A technical interview on modelling and data.
  3. A case study on data representative of the connected catalogue.
  4. A meeting with the team.

No abstract quiz: the case study is based on a real pharmacy stock problem. Decision within 48 hours after the last step.
